Munich, May 9, 2026 - Startup World Cup Munich Regional 2026 brought together some of the most promising early-stage technology companies, investors, and ecosystem leaders from across Europe. Hosted at Microsoft HQ Munich, the event is part of the global Startup World Cup series organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures and considered one of the world’s leading startup pitch competitions.
Startup World Cup connects startups, investors, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders through more than 100 regional competitions across six continents. Each regional winner advances to the Grand Finale in San Francisco, where startups compete for a USD 1 million investment prize sponsored by Pegasus Tech Ventures.
The 2026 edition continues the international competition series that has grown into a major global platform for emerging technology companies, bringing together founders, venture capital firms, corporateinnovation leaders, and ecosystem partners from around the world.
leitspalt was selected as one of the Top 10 startups invited to pitch live on stage during the Munich Regional. The event gathered representatives from venture capital, industry, and the European startupecosystem, including speakers, investors, and partners from organizations such as Microsoft, Intel, UnternehmerTUM, HTGF, World Fund, and Pegasus Tech Ventures.
Following the final pitching session and jury evaluation, leitspalt was named Startup World Cup Munich Regional Winner 2026.
The recognition marks an important milestone for the company and highlights the growing relevance of next-generation battery technologies focused on thermal management, fast-charging capability, costefficiency, and sustainable pack architectures. leitspalt’s approach addresses some of the key challenges currently shaping the future of electrification and advanced mobility systems.
By winning the Munich Regional, leitspalt qualifies for the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco, where regional champions from around the world will compete on the global stage for the USD 1 millioninvestment prize.
